Sam was in her security office reviewing the security report from the D-kull their way of patrolling and security protocols were not that different from the Zion.

As she scrolled down the screen the words from Zarg echoed in the back of her mind. There was a killer on the loose and he had it out for her. Sam frowned she had absolutely no idea who it could be. Most Klingons on board left her in peace and only spoke to her if it was really necessary. Then suddenly Sam remembered something. When she came on board and entered the security officer one of the Klingons got demoted and Sam basically got his job.

Could he be the one, Sam thought. He was pretty annoyed about it. Sam got up from here chair and there was only one way to find out.

"Computer," she asked in the klingon language. "Locate Larch"

"Larch is in corridor 3, junction 12."

Gesturing to another Klingon to take over her task Sam made her way to the corridor. As she turned the corner she noticed Larch.

Larch saw Sam, his upper lip curled as he let out a gutteral snarl.

"Can I talk to you Larch," Sam said in the Klingon language.

Larch looked around, seeing others in the hallway he took a step back. "What is it Human?"

"Look I know you got demoted because of me and I was wondering if you hated me for that? There is no reason for it as I will be leaving in a few days."

Larch's expression was contemptuous. "I hate you because you are a human. The cause of my demotion is not you, nor is it of your concern."

He thrust his chin upward defiantly.

"Have I as a human caused you any harm Mr Larch," Sam asked as she kept looking at him. "Is your hate so big that you might want to kill me?"

Larch looked up and down the corridor, there were still klingons present going up and down.

He frowned."You are weak." His palm brushed the hilt of his dagger. "The strong will command this vessel."

"I might be weak but I am still your boss and if you don't control yourself," Sam said firmly, not backing down. "You will never take command. Now I ask you, are you the one who is planning to kill me and if your not than do you know who is?"

His eyes squinted, "Are you accusing me?"

"Is there a reason for me to accuse you Larch," Sam said bluntly. She took a little step back in order to defend herself should Larch decide to attack.

"You asked if I was planning to kill you."

"Look Larch I am only trying to eliminate those who have nothing to do with this threat, if it is not you who than I would appreciate your help in finding out. Remember songs will be written and sang about the great Larch saving a Maqui officer's life.! Sam finished her speech. She grinded her teeth it looked like she was getting nowhere and her patience was wearing thin on her.

"I said the weak are going to be eliminated, by your own confessions you said you were weak. The weak have no right to lead."

Sam''s face be came stern, no more nonsense. "So," she said coldly. "And you are the one who is going to remove the weak? taking purposefully steps into his space.

The captain will not look kindly on such actions." She paused, inches from his face, blue eyes ablaze with hatred. "If you even THINK of threatening me again, you will live to regret it. If you're lucky enough, that is. Now, get out of my way before I call security and have you charged with attempting to murder. Sam did not move. She did not flinch. She did not even blink. Larch would either acquiesce or she would make good on her threat.

Larch grabbed Sam by the throat and pressed her against the bulkhead. "I've had enough of your bantering," he said, reaching for his blade.

Sam tried to reach for her knife as a a distrupter blast hit Larch in the head, vaporizing it into small particles which drifted away.

Larch's grip loosened as his body slumped to the floor. Sam coughed and looked behind her. Zarg approached her a disruptor firmly in his hand.
