Miranda's

Arnsworth, the ship's Chaplin, stood before 3 dozen people who had gathered to for the memorial service. Everyone stood in a loose circle around the forward Lounge, facing the large view port windows at the fore most section of the ship. Next to the Chaplin, on a table adorned with flowers and plants lay combadges and pips from those who where either recovered from the debris field or died on board the the Zion.

He began with a litany of praise for those that died performing their duty.

Captain stood next to Wright. Beside him Zoei, Favor and Silvio. Right behind him stood other senior officers, Westfall, Forrester and Riaan.

Hunter's mind replayed scenes from his past, interactions with the murdered crew. The joy's of their successes and the turmoil of their losses. It was hard, even for a man like Hunter to come to terms with it.

The Chaplin continued, "A wise vulcan, named Spock once said, 'We are those who visit Time, but belong to Eternity; and to each of us comes a moment when that visit is done'

The Chaplin went on to thank everyone who was involved in the search and rescue, including Westfall, Riaan and Lindsey and others. Because of them, 13 lives were saved.

When the Chaplin was finished, he opened a ship-wide comlink and asked for a moment of silence. Then Wright stepped forward, he brought with him an ancient boatswain's mate's pipe which was given to him by an old friend. As Wright sounded the pipe those in attendance snapped to attention and watched solemnly as those last wishes for interment into the vastness of space were jettisoned one at a time.

When it was finished Wright sounded the pipe again. Everyone turned and went back to their duties.
