Childhood (birth to Adult):

Ka'Tira shortly after her birth on Fersa, she and her family lived on Starbase Triangle. Her Grandfather and Father served as the Caitian ambassador there. Her early schooling was that as the other star fleet children. Being the only non-human child in her class she was frequently teased by her classmates whom called her Cat. When she was old enough, she was enrolled in a private school back on the Caitian home world. She attended the academy of science. After graduating with high honors, she enlisted in Starfleet Academy. Studious by nature, Starfleet training was easy. She excelled in science and communications. She participated in L'rramm'frra at an unusually early age.

Early Education

Enrolled at an early age she attended regular starfleet school on Starbase Triangle. Since the base was very remote, there were not many other children in her class. She received very adaptive training. Later she was enrolled in a private school on the Caitian homeworld. There she studied science and communications.

Starfleet Career

After graduating from Starfleet, Ka'Tira took an assignment on Starbase Triangle. Later she served for 2 years aboard the Federation science vessel, USS Hyperion. As the Federation began to exercise what she felt was unethical judgment she found herself at great odds with Federation policy. Because of her species' tendency toward pacifism, she went AWOL while on an away mission to escape the tyranny of the Federation. She has been serving in the diplomatic corps up until recently, she as decided to enlist with the Maquis. She was to be assigned to the USS Thames, which never arrived at Starbase 31. The Thames is presumed MIA. On star date 58202.19 she joined the crew of the USS Atlanta, NCC-52947

Personality Profile

As a Caitian, she has a natural tendency toward pacifism, however, she is from the Caitian Warrior Clan, the Mikan. She is quick to defend herself or her crewmates by whatever means necessary. She tends to roll 'R' and 'M' sounds characteristic of her species. She is a hard and dedicated worker.
Likes: Prefers to keep her quarters a little on the warm side. Enjoys listening to all types of music and sounds. She is very non-xenophobic and has the highest regard for all lifeforms; climbing things and animals. She has a warm personality and people are naturally drawn to her.

Strengths: Agility

Weaknesses: Swimming and stamina. These are weaknesses effecting Caitians as a species. To maintain her stamina levels to Starfleet's minimal requirements, She must regularly work out to maintain her condoning.

Special Notes:

She has a tiny pentacle branded on her inner left thigh, a mark of her Clan's heritage. She also carries a small symbolic tattoo inside her right hear, indicating the passage of L'rramm'Fraa. Typical of Mikan's, Ka'Tira has spotted markings similar to terran leopard.
Like many cations, Ka'Tira is more comfortable wearing alternate starfleet uniforms. She wears improvised sandals which lace up to her calves and prefers to wear the skirted version of the starfleet uniform.. When circumstances call, she will also wear the modified body suit version.

Skills:

She fluently speaks 15 different languages, including Klingon, Romulan, and Vulcan.
She spent four years majoring in Science and in her 4th year minored in Archaeology, Anthropology ahd Ship Historian. She spent two more years afterwards at Starfleet Academy learning all about Operations and Command.
