John Wright was born on Earth in the year XXXX near San Francisco. His father (James) was a politician in the Federation and his mother (Lila) was a doctor. His parents are still alive and in retirement at a location away from the war.

Childhood (birth to Adult):

John had a happy childhood. He was exposed to many different alien cultures through the work of his parents. John was an fairly good athlete and enjoyed sports of all kinds.

Early Education

John attended private schools and excelled in most of his subjects. His favorite subjects were the Sciences and he planned to follow in his mother's footsteps and become a doctor.

Starfleet Career

When John was 18 he entered Starfleet Academy. Like he did in his other schooling John excelled in the academy and upon graduation he was given the rank of ensign and accepted into Starfleet medical where he at last began his formal medical training. During his training he served aboard the USS Lexington as a medic trainee, the USS Firestorm as a Medic, the USS Concord as a resident doctor. In his final year at Starfleet Medical John was selected to join the USS Comfort, a state of the art hospital ship. After graduating from Starfleet Medical he was invited to stay a part of the USS Comfort's medical staff and was promoted to Lt. Jr. Grade.

John spent the next several years on the USS Comfort. During his time there he helped to develop a cure for the Denebian Plague on Deneb III. The crew of the Comfort saw plenty of action as hostilities with the cardassians began to flare. On Stardate XXXXXXX.XX John was promoted to full Lieutenant.

John fell in love with T'Pril a Vulcan Physician also assigned to the Comfort and the two were married. Taking an interest in administration John decided to leave the USS Comfort and enroll in command school. It was during his time in command school that the peace accord was signed with cardassia. IT was also at that time that the prevailing attitude began to change. John was not at all comfortable with the new political climate, however, he completed command school and was Promoted to. Lt Commander and assigned again to the USS Comfort as it's second officer.

The political climate in the federation worsened. The Federation had now sighed an agreement with the Federation that in the eyes of many abandoned the colonists living the the territories close to the cardassians. Some federation ship were defecting and joining forces with the Maquis. Then word came to the command staff of the Comfort that the Enterprise has defected to the Maquis along with the President of the federation himself. The Captain of the Comfort made the decision to join the Enterprise with the Maquis. As it was heading towards Maquis territory the comfort was violently attacked by the Cardassians. The ship was almost totally destroyed, however, it survived thanks to a quick response by the Maquis to it's distress call. The Captain, and First officer were both killed in the battle. Many of the crew were also lost including John's wife T;Pril.

Allowing some time for himself to grieve for the loss of his wife he eventually joined the Maquis where her currently holds the rank of Commander has been assigned as the XO of the latest Sovereign class ship the USS Zion. The Zion nears completion at the Maquis shipyards.

John is a very friendly person and tried his best to get along with everyone. He takes the tme to get all the facts about a situation before acting. He is also able to keep himsel and others calm in a crisis situation.

Special Notes:

John is returning to active duty after taking a leave of absence to do some medical research on Bajor. He used the tie to help him cope with the death of his wife.
