==Jefferies Tube Junction 22D==

"Ouchie, " Craig Witmore muttered as he bumped his head for the 10th time against the access head of junction 22D. He had been repairing stuff and running around like crazy for the last 10 hours or so.

Come to think of it he could kill for a smoke and a good pint of beer. Grabbing his tools he managed to crawl backwards out of the Jeffries tube. Jumping to the ground he stretched and rubbed his head. He then checked is padd, signed off 22d and looked at the next problem.

" Right," he mumbled. " What's next?

Suddenly his comm badge chirped, "Silvio to Witmore, Could you meet me on Deck 5. I would like your help in assessing damage there."

"Sure boss, on my way."

==Deck 5Silvio stood before the safety barrier that had sealed off deck 5 After it had been evacuated. So far as he could tell the deck had not decompressed so the force filed must be holding around the breach. From this vantage point he was not able to see the actual breach.

"Hey Chief," Witmore said. " How does it look?"

"So far things look good," said Silvio, "At least as good as they could be. Let's go take a look"

Craig nodded and held on to his trusted toolbox. He hated hull breaches ever since he had witnesses some crew being sucked out into space before a force field was put in place.

Silvio ordered the computer to drop the safety barrier long enough for them to get in. He took out his tricorder and began reading severe power fluctuations. "I'm getting power fluctuations," he said. "We will need to get that fixed before we can let people back in here."

" They seem to come from over here," Craig pointed out as he walked to a small corner. Pulling some plating to the side they say several severed conduits, sparks flashed in front of their eyes.

Silvio shook his head, "What a mess," he said, "Let's keep moving."

The walked further down the deck. Silvio picked up even more power fluctuations. As the made their was closer to the breach. Silvo noticed the walls were charred. "A major conduit must have blown. I do not think this breach was caused by a torpedo, at least not directly," he suggested.

Finally, they found themselves looking out into space through a gaping hole in the side of the deck. Sthe site was a bit unnerving to say the least. Silvio fought the urge the grab onto something as if he was expecting to be sucked out into space any minute.

Silvio shook his head, "We will need a space dock to repair this breach," said Sivio, "I think our best course of action is to stabilize the power levels and fix the rest once we are back at QulTuq."

"We will have to have Operations move the armory, brig and intel offices temporarily," said Silvio.

Craig nodded. The blackness of space ran chills up his spine, yet it draw him closer and closer.

"You can take a team and start working on the power," Silvio looked at Witmore, "Tomorrow," said Silvio with emphasis, "You have already been working hard and you look worn out. The safety field will keep us secure until then."

"Why waste time Boss," Craig said with a chuckle. "I can already start working on it. He took his toolbox and turned back to the first power fluctuations.

"I know that you are not going to disobey a direct order," said Silvio, "First of all, this job requires a team which you do not have, second of all, we have all had a long day today and I would prefer it if you were rested up. There is no reason that --"

The computer interrupted Silvio's comments,"WARNING power destabilization on Deck 5 decompression in 15 seconds."

"Come on Craig let's move it."

"Holy beloni," Craig said. "Last one to the turbolift is a rotten egg Chief!!" Craig clang his toolbox against his chest and started running. "Seems the problem is bigger then we expected Boss,"! he yelled at Silvio while running.

Silvio ignored Witmore as they sprinted toward the safety barrier. As they were running Silvio again ordered the barrier down only long enough for them to get through. Once through, the barrier went back up just as the computer said, "Power systems are now stable. Decompression is no longer imminent."

Silvio leaned against the wall catching his breath. He shook his head. This deck was more unstable than he thought. "Ok Witmore, you win, let's get to work. Get a hold of Gordon and Newman and have them come and give us a hand."

Craig had sank on his knees and tried to regulate his breating. He had to quit smoking. "Aye Sir," he said. "Last time I saw Gordon he was working on the flow regulators and Newman was modifying the inertial dampeners. We need to get some special equipment as well."

Craig tapped his combadge. "Hey Gordo, we could use a hand on deck five."

"Witdog, Chief said to finish the regulators,"Gordon replied.

"We have a bigger problem on deck five and if you see Newman tell him to join us as well."

"You ok Witmore?"

"As good as I can ever be so move your butt and hurry up ok? Witmore out."

"Let's go get that equipment then," said Silvio.
