"Maxie! Maxie!! Oh My Nectar!!! I have WORMS!!!" The little pixie hologram coughed and sputtered until it yacked up a hairball that wriggled and squirmed on the console between them.
"Ewww...." Maxine blinked and wrinkled her nose at Krystal's over-graphical display of a computer worm. "That is roight disgustin'," she told her AI program. "I did *not* give you a sub-routine that looked anythin' like that."
"I saw a picture in a book I read," the pixie explained as she walked around the wriggling mass, careful to keep her distance. "But... But... Those aren't mine," she pointed and quivered a little, her wingtips fluttering for emphasis. "I got them by accident... Well, not by accident... I intercepted them... Can I go back to the computer now?"
"Oh yeah?" Now Maxine pulled her focus from the program that just finished compiling, to give it to the winged creature pacing on the console in front of her... and the ball of worms at her feet. "Where were they intended for?" Maxine asked curiously as she poked at them with her stylus.
"Don't do that!" Krystal waved Maxine's hand away. "Navigational sub-systems. Can I go back to the computer now?," the pixie started pacing.
"Navigation? Blimey.... Origin?"
"Alt.startrek.binaries... Can I go back to the computer now?"
Maxine blinked and looked up from the woms to Krystal. She was unfamiliar with that location. "What else is in that location?"
"Pert breasts," the hologram told her. "Can I get rid of them and go back to the computer now?" she pointed to the worms.
"Pert breasts? Oiy...." Maxine rolled her eyes a bit. "Did you get them all? And do you know what th' trigger was?"
"Affirmative, and affirmative... Can I get rid of them now and get back to the computer, huh?"
Before Maxine could answer here the Zion made it first sharp turn, causing the computer expert to hang onto the console and the data padd to slide a little.
"Battle Stations!!! Battle stations!!!" The pixie flitted over to Maxine and held onto her.
"Not now, Pixie!" Maxine reactivated her neural interface and began running a check on the status of all computer systems. "And get rid of those things..." she flicked a finger or two towards the holographic worms.
"They're gone!" Krystal sprinkled some pixie dust on them and they melted into sputtering, sparkling mass of color that simply dissipated into thin air. "Can I go back into the compter NOW??" she asked.
"Run a level one self-diagnostic again and use that new program that just finished compiling. I've downloaded a copy into your PADD," Max instructed.
"ANOTHER one???" The pixie groaned dramaticly. "Oh, Alright. THEN can I go back to the computer??"
"Run the diagnostic, Pixie."
The AI Avatar fluttered over to the PADD where she plopped down and sat cross-legged, propping her elbows on her knees and her chin on closed fists. "Executing.." she grumbled forlornly.
"Good girl..." Maxine barely got out before the ship took it's first solid hit.
