Patia pulled the two PADDs back out and reviewed them for the second time since Crewman Spencer left. His attitude was poor, which was a concern when coupled with the results of his coping techniques. He was a tinder box waiting for the spark. More of a concern, though, for Spencer’s sake, was the results of his alcohol dependency test. He didn't seem to care, but that wouldn't stop the physical affects of long term alcohol abuse from marching on through his systems.

Slowly, she rotated her chair from side to side. No two ways about it, he needed a medical referral. Teilani might not find anything wrong, and she hoped there wouldn't be anything, but she didn't want him in the position where he faced a preventable medical issue.

"Computer, begin dictation" Patia said.

"Dr. Dane,

Crewman Spencer was in my office today for an evaluation. A copy of the results of the alcohol dependency evaluation is attached to this message for your review. You will find he answered affirmatively to all twenty five questions. For this particular evaluation, any more than five 'yes' answers is indicative of a dependency issue for the person completing the test. During the course of the evaluation, I had no indication his answers were anything but truthful.

When you have the opportunity, I would appreciate if you could request a complete physical examination to ensure he isn't experiencing any health issues related to alcohol consumption. Also, I would like your medical opinion regarding his alcohol use noted for his file.

If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Counselor Zoei

Computer, end dictation."

Patia scanned the missive, uploaded the test results from the PADD and attached them to the message.

"Computer, send to Dr. Teilani Dane with copies to correspondence file and Crewman Spencer's file." Patia sighed as she glanced at the chronometer. 2345. 0600 felt like a long, long time ago. Unfortunately, 0600 tomorrow morning felt like it would be far too soon.
