Taking the DNA and the blood with her Teilani went to the science lab. She put on her lab coat and walked over to a console. She pulled up Commander Wrights medical stats and began working on the DNA preparation.

After 1.5 hours she managed to have isolated the particular gen that would allow the re-growth of an arm.

Teilani managed to suppress a light giggle. What if she had managed to trigger the gen into creating a left arm. Then the commander would have 2 left arms.

Still smiling she continued using the analysis of the dna strain and the

blood analyses Teilani prepared a small stasis field. A petridish filled

with nutrious gel and the DNA structure was placed in it.

"Computer, this is Ltjg Teilani Dane, chief medical officer, analyse clone growth every 30 minutes and sent readings to my office.

"Acknowledged"

"Computer secure science lab 1, nobody can enter without my authorization DaneOmega4.

"Acknowledged, authorization DaneOmega4"

Having crosschecked 10 times Teilani was confident that everything should go fine. Putting her labcoat back over her chair she went back to her office.

Having collected a new coffee and some saltines Teilani began to clear some of the mess. Several pads need to be signed off and patients released. However, back in her mind the remark of Commander Wright kept nagging her.

Teilani to Patia

"Zoei here." Patia looked up from the crew list she had before her. Sometimes she wished she could clone herself.

Patia if you are not to busy could you come to my office please I need to discuss something with you

"Not at all, Teilani. I am sorry if I sounded abrupt. I am reviewing files, and I am sure you understand what I mean," Patia chuckled. "I am on my way."

"goodmorning Patia," Teilani said when Patia entered her office. Teilani

walked over to the replicator. 1 raspberry ice tea with 2 fresh raspberries and 1 coffee, jamaican blend, double strong, double sweet.

Patia accepted the drink, the cool, wet glass slipped against her palms. "Thank you, Teilani, and good morning to you, as well." She sipped slowly, the raspberry flavor burst across her taste buds.

Teilani sat back down on the edge of her desk. "Patia, what do you know about Commander Wright?"

"I have his file in my office, as I do any of the other staff members. Why?" Patia's brows drew together.

"I m concerned about him. He is taking the loss of his arm much to lightly."

"How so?"

"He was so eager to get back to work. I almost thought that he was going to order me to replicate a new arm. Also there seems so much anger in him and I am afraid that one of these days he is going to loose control."

"When you told him you wanted him to see me, what was his reaction?"

Teilani shrugged. "Actually he said nothing, but have you ever heard the

expression if looks could kill? Well I'd be dead now. When i told him that I was going to see if he kept his appointment I teased him about otherwise declaring him unfit for duty.

"What was his response to that?" Patia leaned forward, the glass clasped between her palms.

"I tell you Patia, he bit my head off, he simple did not understood that I was just teasing him. He seems to take every word I say at face value.

"He is a serious man, with a serious injury," Patia pinched the bridge of her nose between her index finger and thumb. She squeezed her eyes shut. When she opened them, she blinked rapidly. "Tell me, how odd do you see his reaction considering the extent of his injury? I would like to figure out, before I meet with him, how far from the norm his reaction was."

"I dont know I just think he is a troublesome man. Like a ticking timebomb

"I trust your judgment, Teilani. I will send him a request to meet with me and I will take it from there. I sincerely appreciate that you brought this to my attention. It will be easier to catch this one now, rather than work on clean up later."

"Well our departments need to work together closely in these cases."

"Agreed. When this day is through, I plan to go to Miranda's for a bite to eat. If you want to join me, I am going to grab a table by the window. I feel like a little star gazing tonight," Patia smiled.
