According to the information she had read the ship was distinctive in appearance, with it s bulbous command section and low slung nacelles.. Spartan by design and practical in philosophy, each is essentially a starship constructed around a mass of weapons. Also according to the Zion’s database the Klingon designers placed primary importance on the class’ weapon systems, and the ship is an even match with the Maqui constitution class.
The Bird of Pray uses phaser like phase disruptors mounted on hardpoint in the ship’s superstructure, while the main torpedo tube is located in the outer fore section. . Deflector systems are designed to withstand significant assault as they close range to bring their phase disruptors to bear. B the time torpedo salvos have found their mark, on or two well placed beam shorts are all that is required to finish the job.
Sam knew that the Klingons also had a cloaking devise installed which would greatly advance the Klingon tactics. When the Klingon commanders employ stealth to close to point blank range before discharging both torpedoes and disruptors for a quick and devastating blow. The ship’s improved hull makes up for the momentary lag between decloaking and raising shields.
Having made a tour around the ship Sam ended up in the messhall upon entering she noticed heads turned her way. To bad she could not read their minds but from their body language Sam instinctively knew that not all Klingons were happy with the exchange.
Walking over to the replicator Sam ordered some blood wine and a plate of Gagh. Carrying it back to a lonely table she began to eat.
Her eyes darted back and forth wondering what would happen next.
